$48.33 In stock
  • 1 She climbs the bookshelf because there is nothing else tall to be on top of. This is the thing taller than the bookshelf.
  • 2 The corrugated tier is the scratcher — put it where she's already scratching, not where you wish she would.
  • 3 The lower cave is the "I want to nap but also see you" spot. Living room, against a wall, not in a closet.

What it actually does

This is the thing that pulls scratching and napping off your furniture, in one footprint.

The villa is two pieces of behavior stacked on one base: a corrugated scratching tier at the bottom and a semi-enclosed lookout cave on top. The cardboard is the part she'll actually use — cats prefer it to carpet for the texture and the give — and it's replaceable when it shreds out, which it will, in about four to six months if she's using it daily, which means it's working.

The neck-support edge on the upper cave matters more than it sounds. Cats sleep deepest when their chin is supported and they can still see the door. The hanging balls are a bonus, not the point — they keep the unit interesting in the first two weeks while she figures out it's hers.

Place it within six feet of wherever she's currently scratching the wrong thing. Do not put it in another room and hope she finds it. She will not find it.
